Bookkeeper/Accounts Administrator & Room Hire Administrator – 30 hours per week
Newcastle Arts Centre is a Social Enterprise comprising a not for profit company and a charity, we run courses, room hire, venue hire, live jazz, art exhibitions, rent studios to artists plus some commercial retail lets. We run three shops which sell art materials, craft & gifts and a picture framing service and and online arts materials shop www.details.co.uk .
We have a small friendly office based admin and marketing team.
The position is to record and reconcile the financial activity of the various Arts Centre activities including invoicing customers credit control and payment of Suppliers, cashing up, banking and other duties listed in the job description. To administer the conference, meeting room and studio hire with customer care for the hirers. And to deal with general enquiries by phone, email and in person.
The position is initially part time (30 hours a week) but this may increase if needed. There will be a probationary period and appropriate references will be required. To start Immediately
