Regrettably for the moment Google map directs cars into ‘no car lanes’ and a fine.

If coming from the west use the A186.

If coming from the East or Tyne Bridge, take Pilgrim Street roundabout and head for Central Station – follow A186 and turn right onto St James Boulevard, here you can use Grainger Town Car Park near Dance City. continue along St James and turn next right onto Westgate Road, the Arts Centre is 50yards after Clayton Street Junction. there is an all vehicle loading bay at the front door.

Do not approach from Clayton Street – there is a new No Car Lane with camera.
