Jude Murphy & Dan Stanley – Tuesday 23rd June
The Black Swan Bar
Doors open 7pm / Live music from 7:30pm

Jude Murphy and Dan Stanley are a well-established and popular duo in the North East jazz scene. Their music is laid back, classy jazz, Latin and blues driven by Dan’s stunning guitar work, Jude’s mellow jazzy vocals and stylish double bass playing. Their core repertoire stretches across the Great American Songbook, jazz classics from Miles Davis and Kenny Burrell and infectious catchy Brazilian songs such as Corcovado, Waters of March and the highly danceable Fato Consumado.

Jazz Café Presents… at The Black Swan
Eva Fox & the Sound Hounds – Tuesday 30th June
The Black Swan Bar
Doors open 7pm / Live music from 7:30pm
FREE ENTRY
Our live music this Tuesday comes from local quartet Eva Fox & the Sound Hounds. Jazz vocalist Eva Fox is joined by seasoned musicians on the local jazz scene: the multi-tasking, musical stylings of Jude Murphy on bass, organ and piano aficionado Steve Chambers and all-rounder drummer Sid White.
The Sound Hounds, whilst keeping their style close to the swinging rhythms of the Great American Songbook era, have taken inspiration from the modern stylings of jazz vocalists Diana Krall, Melody Gardot & Madeleine Peyroux to mention a few, and have fused an eclectic mix of jazz-styled 60s-70s tunes with a few blues and contemporary pop variations.
