The Show Case: Natasha Loydell: Slow Dance
Our newest exhibition in The Show Case is now open!
Slow Dance is an exhibition of handcrafted glass that draws upon the artist’s interests in relics, local history and folktales. Weaving mytho-poetic personal narratives with extensive research and regard for both art and cultural conservation, Natasha’s work questions when art becomes artefact, and the necessity of forms of pilgrimage in historical faiths vs the contemporary every day.
Natasha Loydell is an artist, curator and writer who divides her time between Cornwall, where she grew up, and Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Drawing upon her interests in relics, local history and folktales she creates films, objects and publications that fall between intimate and peculiar.
Slow Dance is open until the 29th May, so come along and see it while you can!
