A new exhibition by Andrea Roberts and Marie Wright

Exciting new work highlighting a sense of place within Northumberland and Cumbria in which the artists are linked by the landscape in which they work and the marks, lines and imprints that remain.

Andrea’s drawings, prints, and textiles make connections between her internal and external landscapes. Trees and maps share the intricate arterial patterns of the human body. Her most recent work explores the remnants of ancient forests revealed by tidal erosion on the Northumberland coast.

Marie Wright’s work reflects the frail nature of the land and the marks and changes made by man. She explores the repetition of the tides and the transient nature of the landscape to create a richness of texture and  colour in her work that hints at the past imprinted upon the land.
