‘Bare’ by Bex Masters

Bex Masters is an oil painter, born in Scotland, whose work begins and ends with both concealment and storytelling. She creates fantastical, surreal portraits and, in this exhibition, explores the self portrait as an ode to her body.

In the artist’s words, “my body is the one I know the best and yet the one I have to translate into art to understand properly. I want to thank it for carrying me through life and that’s exactly what this exhibition is.”
