“In a reality consumed by the ethereal dance of digital engagement, the foreboding cadence of doomsday scrolls, and the ephemeral flicker of attention spans, Lens and Lead emerges as a canvas for artistic expression.“
Through these books, Tom and his partner photographers have collated an eclectic and intimate archive of polaroid portraits. Each being accompanied by a hand drawn self portrait by the person photographed, composed there on the spot while the photo develops in the photographers hand. The drawings are an insight into the individual’s unique expression of self perception.
Lens & Lead forms an archive of communities brought together through chance & genuine connection.
