10am – 4pm
Infuse your still life drawings with imagination to create a windowscape; a still life by a window with the view beyond. Inspired by artists like Windifed Nicholson, the window will feature as a compositional tool to frame a small still life and a landscape beyond.
Through drawing, collage and mixed media we’ll explore imaginative ways to link interior space, still life objects and landscapes viewed through a window.
You’ll learn how to use your materials to distinguish between the inside and outside, fuse imagination with observation, and see objects in relation to the space around them. In this one day course, you’ll feel more confident shifting between observation and imagination, detail and abstraction, objects and landscapes. Drawing the sense of the whole space also deepens our connection to the world around us.
