With Millie Avis
This is a one day course on:
Saturday, February 6th
10am – 4pm
This course takes you through the wonderful process of watercolour monotype – a hybrid between watercolour painting and monotype print.
A watercolor monotype is a one-of-a-kind print made by painting with watercolors on a smooth surface, and transferring this design onto damp paper. We will be using both a printing press as well as hand-printing methods, so you can continue to print at home!
You will have the opportunity to play with the process and materials, before refining your compositions in the afternoon. The day will be semi-structured, but free for you to follow your own experiments with the guidance, tips and tricks shared by the tutor!
Please bring any specific inspiration you might want to work from, including printed A4 images, books, sketchbooks, magazines etc.
Don’t forget to bring a bag or folder to take your finished prints home with you! Printing can get messy, therefore please wear clothes you do not mind potentially getting messy.
All abilities welcome.
All materials provided.
Need to cancel your booking? You must inform us at least one week before the course’s start date to guarantee a refund.
