A four-part evening course on:
Wednesdays, April 8th, 15th, 22nd & May 6th
6pm – 9pm 

Tezhip | Art of illumination workshop will start with basic drawing techniques and gradually introduce the unique painting methods of Tezhip.

Participants will learn to create intricate patterns, mix colors, and apply gold to their designs. Throughout the workshop, you will practice these techniques and develop your own illuminated artworks.

No prior experience is needed — just come, enjoy the process, and explore your creativity!

All abilities welcome.
All materials provided.

Booking Procedure – What happens next?
If you pay online you will be sent an email to let you know your place has been booked.

What should you bring with you on the day?
Nothing at all! We provide all the materials you need for every course. We do recommend wearing clothing that is easily washed – just in case!

Lunch
Lunch is not provided.

Refreshments
Refreshments are not provided, however we provide water for our attendants.

Where do the art courses take place?
All courses take place in Studio A or Studio B on the Second Floor of our Studio Block. This can be reached through the Black Swan Courtyard (on Westgate Road).

Parking
We recommend parking in the Grainger Town Multi-Storey (NE1 4DP) – 5 Minute walk from Newcastle Arts Centre.

Cancelling a course booking?
If you are not able to come to a course you have booked just get in touch with us as soon as you can. We will try to arrange a full refund where possible. Need to cancel your booking? You must inform us at least one week before the course’s start date to guarantee a refund.
