Tetra Pak Printmaking (SEP 19TH)

£60.00

With Joanna Bourne

This is a one-part daytime course on:
Saturday, September 19th
10am – 4pm

Dry-point is a printing making method in which an image is scratched onto a printing plate with a sharp pointed tool, the plate is inked, wiped and printed. A variety of plates can be used, such as copper and plastic, but in this class we will be using Tetra Pak, that hard-to-recycle container for orange juice, oat milk and so many other every-day things. It offers a very versatile surface for successful Dry-point printing, with opportunities for experimentation.

You will be shown how to mark and score the surface of Tetra Pak, then ink, wipe and print your image using a printing press. Tetra Pak is easily cut so you can choose to shape your printing plate to suit the image, or make several plates to print at once.

Dry-point is an easy and accessible printing technique, suitable beginners.

All abilities welcome.
All materials provided.

Included in this course: 10% discount card for art materials bought from  Details Art Shop
