Spend your Thursday mornings learning skills whilst engaging in one of the most rewarding and relaxing hobbies out there!
Whether you’re an experienced crafter or complete beginner, this course is suitable for everyone! Throughout this friendly and entertaining four-part workshop, you will be taught how to use a wide range of tools and techniques to create a beautifully crafted diorama of your own.
Sculptor and model-maker Jed Buttress will teach you how to build small structures, shape details and apply special effects before finally painting your miniature sculptures.
Materials used will include:
- Clays
- Wood
- Foam
- Resin
- Paint
- Flocking
- Plants
Processes taught include:
- Foam carving
- Texturing
- Assemblage sculpting
- Priming
- Dry-brushing
- Ink washing
- Resin Pouring
Please note that, whilst fun, sculpting can be messy! It is recommended that you wear an apron or old clothes. You will be able to take your finished diorama home with you, so please bring a small box with you to the course.
