Curious about watercolour but not sure where to start?

This one-day beginner friendly workshop is the perfect place to begin. Led by artist Chun Chao, you’ll learn the basics – like understanding primary colours, how to mix them, and essentials watercolour techniques. Chun will guide you step by step with live demonstrations and plenty of encouragement in a relaxed and supportive environment.

This course is all about helping you tap into your creativity and feel confident exploring the world of watercolour.

All abilities welcome.
All materials provided.

Booking Procedure – What happens next?
If you pay online you will be sent an email to let you know your place has been booked.

What should you bring with you on the day?
Nothing at all! We provide all the materials you need for every course. We do recommend wearing clothing that is easily washed – just in case!

Lunch
Lunch is not provided.

Refreshments
Refreshments are not provided, however we provide water for our attendants.

Where do the art courses take place?
All courses take place in Studio A or Studio B on the Second Floor of our Studio Block. This can be reached through the Black Swan Courtyard (on Westgate Road).

Parking
We recommend parking in the Grainger Town Multi-Storey (NE1 4DP) – 5 Minute walk from Newcastle Arts Centre.

Cancelling a course booking?
If you are not able to come to a course you have booked just get in touch with us as soon as you can. We will try to arrange a full refund where possible. Need to cancel your booking? You must inform us at least one week before the course’s start date to guarantee a refund.
