With Nick Christie
This is a one-part daytime course on:
Saturday, August 1st
10am – 4pm
Gelli plates are a great way to print mono prints without the need for a press. A mono print is a ‘one-off’ print which can only be made once, increasing its value. These plates have a springy surface, meaning they transfer images onto paper very effectively.
This workshop will focus on the many ways of using Gelli plates, using water based inks, paint and watercolours. We will also create layers, building up images using stencils, found leaves and flowers, and images from glossy magazines. This technique works well with painterly marks, and is a very direct and immediate way of creating prints.
All abilities welcome.
All materials provided.
Included in this course: 10% discount card for art materials bought from Details Art Shop
