Although a lot of artists like to draw, some find difficulty progressing onto using paint. How do you start? What colours should you use? Why do you use different brushes? How do you apply the paint? All these questions – and more – will be covered in this one-day course. We will go through the process of painting, including drawing, underpainting and form painting, so you’ll have a good foundation of the process and skills needed to produce your own artworks.
We’ll be using oils, so you can apply the sklills you’ve learnt to simple painting, which you can take away with you at the end of the day.
Please note: To ensure you don’t make a mess of your clothes, please wear a painting top or apron. Oils take a while to dry so please bring something to take your artwork home with you (a small pizza box or tupperware box). The artwork will be no bigger than 8″ x 6″.
