This is a one day course on:
Saturday, November 21st
10am – 4pm

Do you want to break down your assumptions of what art should be? In this course we will look at the human form, figures and bodies to create expressive figurative drawings with bursts of colour and mark making, focusing on and highlighting movement, emotion and symbolism. There will be a range of media available to work with from pastels, charcoals and pencils, with short demonstrations in the basics of these materials.

All abilities welcome
All materials provided.

Booking Procedure – What happens next?

What should you bring with you on the day?
Nothing at all! We provide all the materials you need for every course. We do recommend wearing clothing that is easily washed – just in case!

Lunch
Lunch is not provided.

Refreshments
Refreshments are not provided, however we provide water for our attendants.

Where do the art courses take place?
All courses take place in Studio A or Studio B on the Second Floor of our Studio Block. This can be reached through the Black Swan Courtyard (on Westgate Road).

Parking
We recommend parking in the Grainger Town Multi-Storey (NE1 4DP) – 5 Minute walk from Newcastle Arts Centre.

Cancelling a course booking?
If you are not able to come to a course you have booked just get in touch with us as soon as you can. We will try to arrange a full refund where possible. Need to cancel your booking? You must inform us at least one week before the course’s start date to guarantee a refund.
