With Alison Diamond
This is a two-part daytime course on:
Thursdays November 26th & December 23rd
10am – 4pm
In this workshop, we’ll explore the process of Dry-point Etching and learn how to print your designs using an etching press. The course is ideal for complete beginners as well as anyone who has tried drypoint before and wants to build on their skills. You’ll have the chance to experiment with different inking techniques and add colour to your prints.
For this Etching Edition we’ll be focussing on the process: À La Poupée & Chine Collé. This process allows you to ink a single plate with multiple colours to create beautifully varied line work. You can also choose to use water-based crayon to add colour. Its Magic!! Bring some drawings, photos or source material or we have plenty in the workshop – to trace or free hand transfer to your printing plate.
Bring along drawings, photos, or any source material you’d like to work from—or choose from the selection available in the studio—to trace or freehand onto your printing plate. Don’t forget an apron, as this is a wonderfully inky process. It’s incredibly fun, and you may find yourself completely hooked!
All abilities welcome.
All materials provided.
Included in this course: 10% discount card for art materials bought from Details Art Shop
