This course offers a practical introduction to the captivating The traditional Turkish art of paper marbling.
Participants will explore how to float and manipulate pigments on a specially prepared liquid surface to create their own decorative papers. The beauty of this craft lies in its spontaneity; because of the fluid nature of the process, every print is a one-of-a-kind creation that cannot be exactly replicated.
Throughout the session, the focus will be on experimenting with colour and movement to produce a wide variety of unique designs and patterns.
What participants will achieve:
• Understanding the basic principles of marbling through hands-on practice.
• Experimenting with different colour combinations to develop a personal aesthetic.
• Creating a collection of original, handmade marbled papers suitable for framing, bookbinding, or stationery.
This workshop is open to all levels. All you need is an interest in exploring a craft where every result is as unique as the person who creates it.
