Explore the art of chainmail through jewellery-making in this fun, hands-on workshop. You’ll be learning Byzantine weave, a beautiful and complex-looking chainmail weave that’s surprisingly achievable.
You’ll use your newfound skills to create your own bracelet or necklace chain – it’s up to you! Blending pattern, rhythm, and wearable design, the session will give you some of the foundational skills to begin exploring chainmail, walk you through the weave with an introduction to jump rings and jewellery pliers, and ensure you leave with a wearable piece created entirely from scratch.
Expect a relaxed and friendly setting, lots of support, and a little bit of nerdy chainmail knowledge!
All abilities welcome.
