With Jenni Mac
This is a one-part evening course on:
Wednesday, November 4th
6pm – 9pm
“The only rule of Portrait Club is everyone sits for Portrait Club.”
Taking score from Jake Spicer and Draw Brighton, this session involves equal opportunity to draw from live clothed models by becoming the live clothed models. A chance to build creative confidence, and realise the important practice of being the artist’s subject, in ‘Both Sides Now’ we will each draw and be drawn, inviting moments of pause and study both from perspectives.
Join professional artist and model Jenni Mac in this new course. Expect a laid-back learning environment with a variation of tools to experiment and practice with. A comfortable and trusting setting, poses will be no longer than fifteen minutes depending on class sizes, and participants of any and all abilities/familiarity to portrait and life drawing are welcome. With readings from Jake Spicers excellent ‘Figure Drawing’ tome instructional technique book, this course seeks to encourage the empathy that is often overlooked in live drawing rooms as an incredibly active agent in strengthing our abilities to see, draw, capture, and document.
