Guided by painter and gilder Bex Masters, this course offers not only an introduction to the gilding process but also a beginner‑friendly pathway to applying gold leaf to enhance your oil paintings.
Using a still‑life image of your choice, you’ll learn the fundamentals of working with oil paints and how to apply them effectively. With Bex’s guidance, you’ll then map out which elements you plan to gild in the final week.
By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of both gilding and oil painting — and, of course, a completed artwork featuring beautifully gilded elements.
