Explore the art of chainmail in this fun and seasonal hands-on workshop. You’ll be learning European 4-in-1, a foundational chainmail weave thought to be over 2000 years old. We’ll not be making armour, though — instead you’ll use your newfound skills to create a festive decoration with a medieval twist! Blending pattern, rhythm, and hands-on learning, the session will give you some of the foundational skills to begin exploring chainmail, walk you through the weave with an introduction to jump rings and jewellery pliers, and show you how to construct a personalised pennant-shaped decoration to hang on your tree.
All abilities welcome.
