Introducing a fresh fusion of traditional and contemporary jazz from young duo Liam Oliver and Shayo. With Liam on guitar backing up the gorgeous vocals provided by Shayo, these two are developing a big name in the local jazz scene. Audiences will be treated to a curated mix of standards and some more modern hits delivered in a traditional way, brimming with soul and emotion.

Jude Murphy and Dan Stanley are a well-established and popular duo in the North East jazz scene. Their music is laid back, classy jazz, Latin and blues driven by Dan’s stunning guitar work, Jude’s mellow jazzy vocals and stylish double bass playing. Their core repertoire stretches across the Great American Songbook, jazz classics from Miles Davis and Kenny Burrell and infectious catchy Brazilian songs such as Corcovado, Waters of March and the highly danceable Fato Consumado.

Bede Trio – Tuesday 31st March

Live this Tuesday evening, The Bede Trio. Folk influenced Jazz from a local threesome performing on bass, piano and sax and celebrating the launch of their new album. The Bede Trio perform their own original work as well as some fresh arrangements of Northumbrian and Scandinavian folk songs.

Long Remon Zilker – Tuesday 28th April

An evening of traditional Irish folk music from a trio of touring musicians. Nicolas Long; a fiddle player influenced by his Kerry heritage, with a very personal, emotive and soulful playing style. Tom Remon; a jazz guitarist and composer based in London who, through tutelage from trumpeter Neil Yates, has embraced a traditional Irish style. Ben Zilker; a flautist based in both North Kerry and Athens, having originally started performing as a bodhrán player.
