Creative Vision through Drawing, Painting and Collage//
With Aidan Doyle
This is a 2 day course running on:
Saturday’s 4th & 11th September,
10 am – 1 pm/ £55.
With practical exercises this inspiring course is intended to build upon your innate artistic skills and take your personal creativity further. Working from baseline skills in drawing, through composition and experimenting with various techniques including collage you will explore an engaging variety of subjects and media.
A Touch of Zen: freestyle painting with brush and ink //
With Edwin Moreton
This is a one day course running on:
Saturday 2nd October,
10 am – 4 pm/ £55.
Artists in the West have been fascinated and influenced by the spontaneous brush drawings produced by Zen masters in Japan.
In particular, 20th C Master Henri Matiisse famously took up brush and ink to produce lively portraits, landscapes, interiors, and still life compositions using only a brush, black ink and paper.
Expressive and Experimental Drawing//

This is a one day course running on:
Saturday 23rd October,
10 am – 4 pm/ £55.
This fun course is written to help you see drawing, and art generally, with new eyes.
This course will provide you with an opportunity to make your own ‘expressive/experimental’ drawing. You will be taught how to approach drawing as a ‘language’ and means of expression and you will learn how to work with line, form, shape, mark-making and texture, as a way to communicate ideas. The course is written to challenge your perceptions of what drawing is and you will be encouraged to explore the possibilities of the medium to discover what drawing can mean for you.
Expressive Painting with Acrylics//
With Edwin Moreton
This is a one day course running on:
Saturday 27th November,
10 am – 4 pm/ £55.
Paint expressionistically using colour and gesture in this one day course with Edwin Moreton.
It will give you the opportunity to explore the emotional impact of different colours and pigments using acrylic, and to practice and experiment with personally meaningful approaches to subject, composition, colour and gestural painting techniques.
